"It’s an honor as an organization to give back to the community and each week we look for someone who has impacted their team with a great performance,” said Gladiators Offensive Line coach Chad Schofield in a statement. “Jony checked all of the boxes and without a doubt made the biggest impact on the field, which led to the recognition for this award, which he most certainly deserves.”

Major receiving the award is a boon not only for his reputation but for the school's football program. He'll get to appear at a 2017 Cleveland Gladiators home game but Schofield will also visit a practice and the high school's football team will receive a $500 grant.
