Strongsville School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in Strongsville is August 22 for grades 1-9, August 23 for grades 10-12 and kindergarten, and August 28 for preschool. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The Strongsville City School District has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

• 8/22: First Day for Grades 1-9, Kindergarten Orientation

• 9/22: No School for Students (Professional Development Day)

October

• 10/20: Early Release, End of First Quarter (Grades 6-8)

November

• 11/7: No School for Students (Professional Development Day)
• 11/17: End of First Trimester (Grades K-5)
