Strongsville School Calendar 2018-19: First Day Of School, More

STRONGSVILLE, OH — The first day of school in Strongsville is August 20 — and whether you and the kids are looking forward to the new school year or are dreading the end of summer, you’ll want to mark the dates on your calendar ASAP. The Strongsville School District has released its 2018-2019 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

Here is the full list of dates to know for this school year:

August

• 8/20: First Day for Grades 1-9/Kindergarten Orientation
• 8/21: First Day for Kindergarten and Grades 10-12
• 8/22: First Day for Pre-K

September

• 9/3: No School (Labor Day)

October

• 10/12: No School (Conference Comp Day)
• 10/19: End of First Quarter (Grades 6-12)
• 10/26: Early Release

November

• 11/6: No School (Election Day)
• 11/9: Trimester Ends (Grades K-5)
• 11/21-23: No School (Thanksgiving Break)

December

• 12/20: Semester Ends (Grades 6-12)
• 12/21: No School
• 12/24 - 12/31: No School (Winter Break)

January

• 1/1-1/4: No School (Winter Break)
• 1/7: School Resumes
• 1/21: No School (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)

February

• 2/18: No School (Presidents’ Day)

March

• 3/22: Early Release
• 3/25 - 3/29: Spring Break

April

• 4/19 - 4/22: No School

May

• 5/27: No School (Memorial Day)
• 5/31: Last Day of School Early Release
