Strongsville Schools Among Best In Nation For Music Education

The Strongsville Schools are recipients of a 2021 Best Communities for Music Education Award.

STRONGSVILLE, OH — The Strongsville City Schools have been named recipients of a 2021 Best Communities for Music Education Award.

Strongsville is one of only 686 school districts nationwide to receive the designation this year. The award honors districts for their commitment to music education and providing access to music for all students.

“We are very proud to be recognized by the NAMM Foundation as one of the ‘Best Communities for Music Education’ for the eighth straight year. We believe that Strongsville City Schools has one of the premier music programs in the area and this recognition is further validation of the opportunities we are providing students," Superintendent Cameron Ryba said.

To qualify for the award, Strongsville Schools provided comprehensive information about its music program funding, graduation requirement, music class participation, music instructional time, facilities, support for music programs and community music-making programs. Reviewers also assess the quality of the district's music faculty and budgetary commitment to music education.

"We share this award with our teachers, students, parents, and the entire Strongsville community. All are a vital part of our successful music programs at Strongsville City Schools. We appreciate this support and recognize the importance and value of a strong, comprehensive music program," Ryba added.
