Strongsville Schools Need Substitutes

Due to complications caused by COVID-19, the district is looking for substitute teachers and other in-building helpers.

STRONGSVILLE, OH — Due to the complications created by COVID-19, the Strongsville Schools are looking to hire substitutes to monitor classrooms.

"We are looking for teacher substitutes to either sub and/or monitor students as teachers may need to provide instruction remotely," Superintendent Cameron Ryba said in an email to the community.

The district is also looking for classroom monitors, cafeteria workers and aides.

For prospective substitute teachers, a bachelor's degree in any subject is necessary. Experience working with children is preferred, but not required, Ryba said.

"We are willing to provide on the job training and will instruct you on all district protocols related to COVID-19," Ryba said.

Applicants will need to pass a background check before being hired.

Anyone interested in working for the Strongsville Schools can fill out a brief online survey. A member of the district's human resources department will then contact applicants.
