  1. Toledo is #2 for cities who would benefit from a $15 minimum wage. A study from MIT shows that such an increase would lead to a better standard of living for many Toledoans. (WTOL)
  2. An East Toledo man has been arrested for setting fire to a car in his driveway late Sunday night. The Toledo Fire and Rescue Department responded to the scene, where the fire had begun to spread to the house. (WTOL)
  3. Toledo's historic Old West End neighborhood will feature self-guided GPS walking tours. The tours will utilize technology on one's cell phone to provide information on the unique history of architecture and the owners themselves. (Sentinel-Tribune)
  4. A local Toledo man was arrested after he entered a private dwelling on Erie street and performed sexual acts around 3 AM on Monday morning. (WTOL)
  5. Toledo Police rescued two children from a hot car when they were discovered buckled into car seats over the weekend. The children were observed to be crying and sweating when the car was discovered in West Toledo. (WTOL)

  • City of Toledo accepting applications for Parks and Recreation Youth Advisory Board
  • Community mental health organization Harbor is facilitating 300 jobs for teens this summer through their Youth Enhancement Services (YES)
  • Lunch at Levis returned June 10 and will last through September 16. It features live performances, food vendors, and other activities related to this year's Solheim Cup and Toledo Jeep Fest
  • Toledo Night Market has returned and will host live music, food, and shopping plus free parking near the Toledo Farmer's Market, 6-11 PM monthly
  • The Toledo Symphony Orchestra and the Toledo Ballet have joined forces at the Toledo Alliance for the Performing Arts and have announced an exciting 2021/2022 season
  • Toledo School for the Arts offering music lessons focusing on a "drumline" every Wednesday at five city parks. The program is for children of all ages and does not require any experience or reservations. (WTOL)
