Former Lucas County Administrator Indicted On Obstruction Charge
Laura Lloyd-Jenkins tipped off her husband, the Rev. Cordell Jenkins, of a federal sex trafficking investigation, prosecutors say.

TOLEDO, OH – A former Lucas County administrator and wife of a Toledo-area minister has been indicted on a federal charge that she obstructed an investigation into sex trafficking of minors. Laura Lloyd-Jenkins, 43, also was indicted on a charge of making a false statement.
The indictment of Lloyd-Jenkins resulted from an investigation into her husband, Rev. Cordell Jenkins, and two other Toledo-area ministers, Kenneth Butler and Anthony Haynes. All three men are charged with conspiracy to sex traffic children, according to a statement from the office of U.S. Attorney Justin Herdman in Cleveland.
Lloyd-Jenkins obstructed the sex trafficking investigation by notifying a defendant of the forthcoming investigation March 29, 2017, according to the indictment. Lloyd-Jenkins made false statements to law enforcement about her knowledge of the conduct alleged in the indictment of her husband and the other men in April 2017, according to the indictment against her.

Haynes, Butler and Jenkins sexually assaulted a juvenile girl from 2014 to 2017, according to court documents. The girl, who was in the custody of Hayne, was 14 when the sexual conduct began. The indictment alleges that some of the sexual conduct took place at the Greater Life Christian Center in Toledo, where Haynes was pastor at the time. He used his mobile telephone to record these sexual assaults, according to court documents.
