  1. Shaffer Pharmacy was ordered by a federal court to cease dispensing certain opioid prescriptions for ignoring 'red flags' such as drug-seeking behavior. The pharmacy was fined $375,000 with restrictions placed on two pharmacists. (13 ABC)
  2. Former Toledo Finance Director and City Councilman George Sarantou is preparing a political run for Toledo Mayor or City Council. Sarantou served for 12 years as a public servant and is focused on the financial implications regarding $180 million in federal aid Toledo is set to receive this year. (13 ABC)
  3. Ohio House Democrats hosted the first of six town halls in Toledo to bring awareness of a Republican-led bill to change the state's voting laws. The event was attended by Ohio Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur, and the next official hearing on House Bill 294 takes place Thursday. (13 ABC)
  4. A new tuition-free charter school focusing on STEM education is set to open in Toledo this fall. Explorers Academy of Science and Technology (EAST) was co-founded by local developers and education professionals and aims to equip students with the skills necessary to get good jobs in the future.   5. A press conference celebrating pride month was held by Toledo Mayor Wade Kapszukiewicz, Lucas County Commissioners, Toledo City Council, and Equality Toledo. (13 ABC)
