Twinsburg SWAT Situation Ends Tragically With Suicide
Two men are dead after a police standoff in Twinsburg Sunday night.

TWINSBURG, OH — A four-hour standoff at a home in Twinsburg ended when police discovered a man suspected of shooting another man dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Twinsburg Assistant Police Chief Bob Gonsiewski told newsnet5 that police received calls reporting and argument and gunshots and then responded to 9636 East Idlewood Dr. to discover a man outside the home with 4-5 gunshot wounds.
Neighbors told police that the owner of the home could be responsible for the shooting and he had retreated into the home.

Twinsburg police called on the SWAT team to surround the house and police tried to contact the man without success Gonsiewski said. After about four hours, SWAT decided to deploy gas into the home and enter.
Upon entry, police discovered the man dead from a self-inflicted gunshot possibly from a 9mm handgun.

Names of the men have not been released and police say that it's not yet known how or if the men knew each other.
Nearby neighborhood residents had been evacuated to a nearby senior center during the standoff for safety reasons.
