The City of Twinsburg has received CARES Act relief funding in 2020 to help the City deal with the costs associated with COVID-19. This funding allows for the City to provide for an economic relief program for small businesses. In November 2020 City Council, with the support of the Mayor and City Administration, set aside a total of $40,000 to be used for small business grants.
Like all communities in this nation, Twinsburg is feeling dramatic economic impacts associated with the current COVID-19 pandemic. Nearly every business has been impacted directly by the virus or indirectly through government directives requiring business closures, operating restrictions and social distancing. Small businesses are being particularly impacted. In recognition of the financial needs of small businesses which may not have the capacity to endure a lengthy slow-down, and may not have access to County, State, or Federal programs, the City of Twinsburg will provide a limited number of grants.

The City of Twinsburg’s COVID-19 Impaired Business Relief Fund will provide up to $2,500 in grants to a limited number of qualifying businesses. To be eligible for a grant, companies must have fewer than 25 employees and complete a program application.
Grant funds from this program must be used for wages, benefits, or business operating expenses (including inventories, rents, equipment leases, utilities, and supplies). Priority will be given to those companies demonstrating a critical need due to COVID-19 related government directives which have significantly impaired their normal business operations. Applications are available on the City of Twinsburg website www.mytwinsburg.com. Applications will be accepted until the close of business on November 30, 2020. Funds will be made available beginning December 9, 2020.
