Police Officer Yamil Encarnacion Honored by The American Red Cross

On March 4, The American Red Cross honored Twinsburg Police Officer Yamil Encarnacion at their 25 Annual Acts of Courage event. You May remember that on August 29th of last year, Yamil rescued a 4-year-old girl, who was trapped inside of a totaled vehicle on I480.

Every year, the Red Cross presents the Acts of Courage Awards to those residents of the 6-county area who have acted courageously and selflessly in a time of emergency. Yamil is one of seven people who are being honored by The American Red Cross of Greater Akron and the Mahoning Valley for their bravery and acts of heroism during a time of emergency. 

You can often see officer Encarnacion around town with his K9 partner, Ceaser. Congratulations Yamil, we appreciate all you do for our city.
