Have You Seen or Survived A Tornado?
Patch explores the last time a tornado touched down in Summit County after severe weather warnings on Wednesday
While the severe weather in Twinsburg on Wednesday may not have been as bad as it was elsewhere, four tornadoes touched down in Ohio in Ashtabula, Huron, Sandusky, and Tuscarawas counties.. As I waited the rain out, I wondered when the last time a tornado touched down in Summit County.
According to the Tornado History Project, seven tornadoes have touched down in Summit County since 1963, causing a total of one injury and no fatalities.
The most recent tornado was in May, 2011, just north of Akron.
