Inaugural Church on the Square 5K and 1 Mile Children's Fun Run

Twinsburg, OH - The First Congregational Church of Twinsburg is pleased to announce the inaugural Church on the Square 5 K Run/Walk and 1 Mile Children's Fun Run, on Saturday, August 20, 2016.  Registration begins at 7:30am, the 1 Mile Children's Fun Run will begin at 8:00am, and the 5K Run/Walk will begin at 8:30am.

The inaugural Church on the Square 5K Run/Walk and 1 Mile Children's Fun Run is a way to outreach to the city of Twinsburg and its surrounding communities and to get participants "up close and personal" with the First Congregational Church of Twinsburg's rich history and heritage.

The start and finish lines for the 5K Run/Walk, post-race food and awards ceremony will be in front of the First Congregational Church of Twinsburg, located at 9050 Church Street.  The 1 Mile Children's Fun Run will be two laps around the Twinsburg Square, located directly in front of the church as well.

All proceeds from the 5K Run/Walk will benefit the First Congregational Church of Twinsburg.

Online registration is available via Hermes Cleveland (http://hermescleveland.com/roadracing/events/churchonthesquare.asp).  The Children's 1 Mile Fun Run is FREE to all children.  Cost for the 5K Run/Walk is $15.00 (until August 1, 2016); $20.00 (beginning August 2, 2016 through August 17, 2016).  On race day, the cost will be $25.00.  We are also proposing the "Church Team Challenge" - create a 5K Run/Walk group from your church (3 or more persons).  The Church with the most participants will be the recipient of the "Holy Spirit" Award (pictured above).  Online registration will close Friday, August 19, 2016 at 9am.

Mail in registration is also available.  Registration forms are available on-line and in the Narthex and Church office at the First Congregational Church of Twinsburg.
