Local Entrepreneur Opens Business Dedicated to Making a Difference in Hudson/Solon
BrightStar Care of Hudson/Solon Answers Call for a Higher Standard of Homecare for Local Residents
Twinsburg, OH– Local entrepreneurial couple Patrick and Patricia Wethern are fulfilling their dream of making a difference in the lives of residents in the Hudson/Solon area by opening a BrightStar Care homecare and medical staffing agency. This new business will provide a range of compassionate, person-centered medical and non-medical care to people of all ages, from infants to seniors in the safety and comfort of their homes.
BrightStar Care of Hudson/Solon offers a myriad of comprehensive services that meet the highest industry standards and will work to help educate residents on the right questions to ask when searching for an in-home care provider for a loved one. In order to provide the highest standard of care possible, the Wethern’s have employed 12 part time caregivers, 3 part time skilled nurses (RN’s and LPN’s), one Registered Nurse Director of Nursing and one Sales and Marketing Manager. BrightStar Care of Hudson/Solon is also currently looking to hire several additional part time caregivers and skilled nurses.
Patrick and Patricia opened BrightStar Care after multiple decades of combined experience in the healthcare industry. Patrick, who holds an MBA from The University of Akron, spent the past 20 years as a Business Unit Controller for a global medical device company and Patricia BSN, RN has an extensive healthcare background in acute care, home healthcare and geriatric care. Interested in going into business for themselves, the Wethern’s were attracted to BrightStar Care due to its business model that focuses on providing the highest standard of care for a wide spectrum of health needs and the accreditation requirement from the Joint Commission.

“Patricia and I could not be more excited to serve the greater Hudson/Solon area with the best possible in-home care,” said Patrick. “We know how important it is for family members to have peace of mind knowing that their loved ones are being cared for with the highest level of attention and respect. In opening BrightStar Care, we are committed to upholding the quality standards put in place to ensure that peace of mind is met.”
BrightStar Care conducted third-party research that shows that as families seek quality in-home care for their aging loved ones, the most important factors they consider include having a compassionate caregiver they can trust, somebody who understands the unique needs of their loved one, and having qualified, skilled medical professionals overseeing the care. However, the lack of clinical quality standards within the local and national private duty in-home care sector, combined with the public’s lack of knowledge of the industry, can make it challenging for local families confronted with the need for care or professionals looking to select a trustworthy service partner.
