Take on Twinsburg’s Turkey Trot
The annual 5 miler and fun run is scheduled for Saturday, November 9th

Established in 2009, the Turkey Trot 5 Miler and Fun Run has become a community staple on the fall calendar. Upon the completion of Old Hickory Trail the race was created to showcase the city’s most popular parks and challenge runners with a unique course set up.
To keep things interesting, Twinsburg Parks & Recreation reverses the course every year. Each direction presents its own set of challenges and changes in elevation impacting runners. During this year’s race on Saturday, November 9th, the course will run clockwise down Ravenna Road, through Center Valley Bike Path and Old Hickory, then finishing down Miktarian Parkway to the Twinsburg Fitness Center.
The Turkey Trot 5 Miler and Fun Run is open to all ages and ability levels with divisions broken up by age and gender. The top three runners in each division receive a Turkey Trot trophy. The top 3 overall, male and female, will receive grand prize trophies plus gift cards. All 5 mile runners also receive a moisture wicking race t-shirt. Runners should keep in mind that a 5 miler can be a much tougher task compared to traditional 5k runs. Young children or those who may not be ready for all 5 miles can sign up for the One Mile Fun Run down Miktarian Parkway. All fun run participants receive a sport bag.
