1 Dead As Firefighters Battle Blaze On California-Oregon Border
At least one person has died in the Klamathon Fire, of many to spark across California this week.

SISKIYOU COUNTY, CA -- A fast-growing wildfire along the California and Oregon border that took the life of one person grew to 22,000 acres Saturday evening. It was only 20 percent contained.
The civilian fatality announced Friday by California fire authorities is the latest death of the wildfire season; two people were reportedly killed by an Oklahoma wildfire in April. The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CalFire) announced the death Friday just before 9:30 a.m. West Coast time, but provided no additional details pending next of kin notification.
The fire, which destroyed 15 structures, sparked around 12:37 p.m. Friday off of Klamathon Road and Copco Road, according to fire officials.
