Earthquake Strikes Off Oregon Coast

Seismologists with the U.S. Geological Survey reported a 4.0 magnitude quake roughly 250 miles off the coast of Florence, Oregon.

FLORENCE, OR — The United States Geological Survey reported a 4.0 magnitude earthquake in the Pacific Ocean, roughly 250 miles off the Oregon coast, just before 1:30 a.m. Friday.

The quake reportedly occurred at a depth of just more than 6 miles and appears to have hit along the Blanco Fracture Zone.

No tsunami warnings have been issued at this time.
