Facebook To Add Two New Buildings In Eastern Oregon
The tech giant will break ground on the fourth building in December and the fifth building in 2018, bringing more jobs to the region.

PRINEVILLE, OR — Tech giant Facebook announced this week the addition of two new buildings to Central Oregon's Prineville Data Center, bringing more jobs to the region. The Prineville Data Center, which currently has three buildings, employing more than 200 people, will break ground on a fourth building this month and a fifth building in 2018.
In a Facebook post, the company said, "These new buildings — which total 900,000 square feet, plus 70,000 square feet for an administrative space connecting the two buildings — will represent a capital investment of hundreds of millions of dollars, which is in addition to the more than $1 billion we have already invested in the Prineville Data Center."
"This translates into keeping construction crews busy for another four years, plus additional full-time jobs as the data halls come online," the post continued.
