OLCC receives special releases throughout the year, but there is a limit on quantities we receive from manufacturers and suppliers. The state has no control over how many bottles it receives each year. OLCC will use a public drawing to make available to the public a portion of these rare or limited releases throughout each year by public drawing.

At its monthly meeting Sept. 21, 2018, the Commissioners of the Oregon Liquor Control Commission granted delegated authority to the Commission’s Director Steve Marks to enter into public drawings. This delegated authority allows the Commission to enter into public drawings to offer the public the chance to purchase spirits that are rare or in limited supply.

The Commission anticipates that there will be another public auction occurring by end of the year.
