Oregon's Top 100 High Schools Ranked

The best high school in Oregon, according to a new set of rankings released by Niche.com this week, is South Eugene High School.

Given an "A+" grade, South Eugene High School was selected based on data from the U.S. Department of Education as well as test scores, college data and ratings collected from Niche users who left 226 reviews of the school — 152 of which rated the school as "Excellent" or "Very Good."

Out of the 18,841 ranked schools across the country, South Eugene High School came in at #493. The best public high school in the country, as identified by Niche, is the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy in Aurora, Illinois.

The 2019 national high school rankings were released along with Niche's rankings for elementary and middle schools as well. Three Rivers Charter School in West Linn and Oak Creek Elementary in Lake Oswego were the top 4-8 and K-5 schools in the state, respectively.

In fact, four of the top five elementary schools in Oregon all hail from Lake Oswego; and the remaining #3 ranked elementary, Riverdale Grade School, is just outside the Lake Oswego School District and only 2 miles from the city's downtown area.
