Record-Breaking Oregon Lottery Jackpot Win For Eugene Man

Allen Hamilton took home more than $150,000 after winning the Keno 8-Spot jackpot April 3, beating the previous jackpot record of $99,698.

EUGENE, OR — Allen Hamilton became a record-breaking Oregon Lottery winner earlier this month after nabbing the rolling Keno 8-Spot jackpot during the April 3 drawing, Oregon Lottery officials announced Friday.

Taking home a total prize of $154,299, Hamilton's win broke the previous Keno 8-Spot record jackpot of $99,698 from June 2016. A Eugene resident, Hamilton reportedly bought his ticket at Jaspers on Green Acres Road, near the Beltline and Delta Highway interchange.

Officially, Hamilton won $129,299 from the April 3 drawing, lottery officials clarified. While that still would have been record-breaking, Hamilton's additional purchase of a Special Keno ticket changed the prize and payout structure, ultimately netting him another $25,000.
