Yamhill County Man Found Dead In Santiam River: Sheriff
Kerry Letsch went missing July 13. His truck was found at the I-5 Santiam Rest Area July 20. On July 29, rafters found Letsch in the river.

SALEM, OR — The body of a Yamhill County man missing for more than two weeks was reportedly found in the Santiam River on Sunday.
Kerry Albert Letsch, 62, was reportedly suffering from dementia and depression when he went missing from his home in Grande Ronde, Oregon, on July 13.

On July 20, Letsch's red 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 was found at the Santiam Rest Area south of Salem on Interstate-5. Following the discovery of Letsch's truck, search and rescue crews focused their efforts on the surrounding area.

Letsch was found by chance, however, when recreational rafters discovered his body in the Santiam River roughly one mile from the rest area.
An autopsy will be performed, though police do not currently suspect foul play.
