Dutch Bros To Raise Money For Multnomah County Animal Services

Four Dutch Bros Coffee locations in Gresham will donate $1 from every drink sold March 20 to support the county's animal services program.

GRESHAM, OR — South Gresham Dutch Bros Coffee stand operators Austin and Kelsey Smith will combine their love for coffee and animals next week when they host a day of charity at four local Dutch Bros locations to benefit Multnomah County Animal Services.

From 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. March 20, Dutch Bros and the Smith's will collect $1 from every drink sold at all four locations to help support the county's animal program continue to protect both pets and people.

This latest charitable event is part of the Dutch Bros mission to steer at least 1 percent of the company's annual sales toward philanthropic causes benefiting the communities in which those Dutch Bros stands operate.

According to Dutch Bros officials, the coffee company donates more than $2 million each year to various communities and nonprofit groups.

"Our vision for Dutch Bros is to help create compelling futures for our communities," Dutch Bros spokeswoman Angi Veek told Patch in an email. "The Love Abounds Foundation was established by Dutch Bros to actively engage its communities through giving and action. The foundation supports programs and projects that build deeper connections through engagement in four core areas: youth, music, health and origins (sources of its coffee beans)."
