East Multnomah County Road To Close For 1 Week Beginning Oct. 23
County contractors closed a half-mile of East Woodard Road, west of Springdale, to repair an eroded culvert and slope.

SPRINGDALE, OR — A half-mile section of roadway just west of Springdale will close for the next week beginning Monday so county contractors can repair a culvert where a landslide occurred, Multnomah County officials said on Friday.
East Woodard Road will be closed from the intersection of East Woodard and Northeast Springhill roads to Southeast Nielson Road. Contractors will repair the culvert and the slope, officials said, noting the project is estimated to cost the county about $50,000.
Residents and emergency vehicles will be allowed to access East Woodard Road during construction, but all other through traffic will need to take alternate routes. County officials expect to complete the project by Oct. 30.
