Gresham-Barlow Schools Spreads The Word On 'Collaboration Walks'
The district hosted a delegation from Indiana to talk about how they conduct "Collaboration Walks" to help teachers be better teachers.
GRESHAM, OR – The Gresham-Barlow School District sees it as a very simple proposition: teachers can help teachers become, well, better teachers. That's why the district promotes what they call, "Collaboration Walks."
What happens is on a given day, about 10 teachers together and spend the day visiting classrooms in the district's 11 elementary schools.
Afterward, they will sit together, discuss what they've seen and figure out how they can take lessons from the day and use it to further their professional growth – be better teachers.
