Gresham Police Make Arrest In Domestic Violence Homicide

Gresham Police have arrested 20-year-old Brian Washington II for the murder of 22-year-old Iryonna Bynum.

On August 11, Gresham Police and Portland Fire responded to the reports of a female not breathing at the 700 Block of SE 187th Ave. The East County Major Crimes team has been investigating the circumstances of the death since the autopsy determined the cause of death to be homicide.

On August 16, Brian Washington II was arrested by the East Metro SWAT team at the 16100 Block of SE Division St. in connection to this investigation.

Detectives are asking anyone who may have heard or witnessed anything in connection to this homicide investigation to call the Gresham Police at 503-618-2719.
