Gresham Police Say They Arrested Man Wanted In Tailgate Thefts
Gresham Police say that after several months of someone stealing tailgates, they've arrested the man that they say is responsible.

GRESHAM, OR – For months people in Gresham have been dealing with a serial thief. That person has been prowling the city, stealing tailgates off of vehicles.
Gresham Police said Thursday that they've found their suspect.
They arrested 40-year-old Loyd Douglas Garoutte.

Officers had executed a search warrant at an apartment at 2045 SE Powell Valley Road and recovered six tailgates.

Police say that Garoutte was selling the stolen tailgates on eBay.
He's charged with 20 counts of theft and 20 counts of Computer Crime.
Gresham Police say that anyone who witnessed or has information about any tailgate thefts, or if they have had a tailgate stolen that is still missing, to please call Gresham Police Detective Brandon Crate at 503.618.3103.
