Gresham Woman Stole From Walmart to Pay Back Dealer: Court Docs
Court documents say that 29-year-old Jamie Lutz stole from a Walmart during a toy drive attended by deputies to pay back her drug dealer.

PORTLAND, OR – Jamie Lutz is in in the Multnomah County Jail after being arrested by a sheriff's deputy who says he caught her stealing from a Walmart during a toy drive that he was attending. It happened on Dec 1.
Court records indicate that the 29-year-old Lutz was caught as she pulled a rolling duffel out of the store when the security alarm went off.
A deputy told her to stop by says that Lutz, who lives in Gresham, ignored him and kept going.

The deputy caught up with her in the parking lot, grabbed her arm, and told her that she was not free to go.

Court records say that Lutz tried to break free and fell in the process.
The probably cause affidavit says that while on the ground, she told the deputy that she was stealing to pay back a drug dealer whom she owed money and that she had also taken a couple of items for herself.
A Walmart employee told the deputy that the merchandise Lutz had taken had a retail value of $414.74.
Court records say that Lutz told another deputy that she had tried to flee because she did not want to go to jail.
She is charged with resisting arrested and theft.
