Guitar Thief Sought In Gresham: Police

Police need help identifying the man who allegedly stole a black LTD electric guitar from Eastside Music in Gresham last week.

GRESHAM, OR — Gresham police are hoping the community can help identify a man who allegedly stole an electric guitar from Eastside Music last week. Along with a photo of the man share by police, Eastside Music release surveillance footage on its Facebook page.

In the video, an adult male is seen speaking to an Eastside Music employee before the video cuts to the same man apparently playing the soon-to-be-stolen LTD electric guitar in a private practice room. After apparently jamming a few riffs the man seemingly tries to conceal the guitar in his coat, which he awkwardly carries out of the store bundled together — allegedly without paying.

The final images from the video show the man walk casually across the business parking lot, heading west on Southeast Stark Street until he's out of camera view.
