Guns, Heroin and Meth Found in Search of Portland Home

Seven people were taken into custody after the execution of search warrant turned up guns and drugs early Wednesday morning.

PORTLAND, OR - Seven people were taken into custody after the execution of search warrant turned up guns and drugs early Wednesday morning at a residence in the 4800 block of S.E. 104th Avenue in Portland.

Greshman Police carried out a search warrant with the assistance of the East Metro SWAT and Southwest Washington SWAT at 3 a.m. at the residence of suspect Anthony Freeman, 27, of Portland.

After investigating a tip about the illegal sale of firearms, Gresham Police Detectives identified Freeman, a convicted felon and self-proclaimed gang member, as the person responsible for selling the firearms.

Freeman was found hiding in a small crawl space beneath the residence and was taken into custody, police said.

Seven additional people were also taken into custody, including a two-year-old child who was taken into protective custody, officials said.

The search warrant revealed one loaded handgun and one rifle, police said.

"We also located a substantial amount of methamphetamine and heroin inside the residence," Gresham Police Detective Michael Webb said.

The suspects arrested during this morning's search warrant have been identified as Aaron Smelser, 41, of Portland; Alexandria Kelley, 29, of Clackamas; Joseph Freeman, 26, of Portland; Crystal Ramsay, 31, of Portland; Renee Vandegrift, 37, of Portland; Diana Teleguz, 18, of Gresham.

They were booked into Multnomah County Detentions Center on various charges.
