Multnomah Greyhound Park Reaches the Finish Line
The Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde sign a deal to have demolition start on the former track.

It's the finish line for the former Mutnomah Greyhound Park, which has sat unused for more than 10 years.
The park was purchased last year by the tribe who have yet to announce what they will do with it, though the possibilities of a casino and a mixed use development have both been mentioned.
The tribe has said their goal is to diversify their economy and that one possibility is to build a hotel that will be the center of the property.

They have been fighting plans by the Cowlitz Tribe to open a casino in Washington, which would compete with the Spirit Mountain Casino, which they own.
Demolition is expected to last four months but won't be able to start until asbestos abatement work is done.
