Rescuers On Mt. Hood Searching For Hiker Not Seen Since Monday

MT. HOOD, OR – A hiker on Mt. Hood not seen since Monday is now considered missing. Search and rescue team are trying to find 30-year-old David Yaghmourian from Phoenix, AZ.

The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office says that Yaghmourian was hiking the Timberline Trail with a companion when he injured his leg.

The companion told deputies that Yaghmourian chose to rest by the junction of the trail and the Pacific Coast Trail while he returned to Timberline Lodge. Get all the latest information on what's happening in your community by signing up for Patch's newsletters and breaking news alerts

When Yaghmourian did not return the friend called for help.

Yaghmourian is described as:

• 30 years old
• Black hair, brown eyes
• 5'10" tall, 150 lbs.
• Last seen wearing a tan baseball cap, black Columbia jacket and tan pants, with a large black backpack with red trim and what appeared to be a yellow towel on top.
