Search For Missing Skier At Mt. Hood Meadows
Steve Leavitt was last seen around 11:20 Tuesday morning when his ski pass scanned on a chair lift.
A massive search is underway by Mt. Hood Meadows for a 57-year-old skier not seen since Tuesday morning. Steve Leavitt from The Dalles was last seen at 11:20 when his ski pass was scanned at a chair lift.
The search began Tuesday evening. His family reported that he missing around 7:30.

Search efforts resumed Wednesday morning with units from the Crag Rats, Portland Mountain Rescue, Mt. Hood Ski Patrol, and the Hood River Sheriff's Office participating.
The sheriff's office says that "weather overnight was treacherous with high winds and rain that developed for about 3 hours, followed by snow. About a foot of snow has fallen since 11:00am yesterday."
