State Troopers Rescue Baby Deer from Frozen Lake
Oregon state troopers saved a baby deer from near certain death rescuing the fawn from a frozen lake Wednesday morning.

THE DALLES, OR - Oregon state troopers saved a baby deer from near certain death pulling the fawn off a frozen lake near The Dalles Wednesday morning.
The troopers first spotted the fawn from a helicopter after breaking through the ice in the middle of the frozen pond, according to tweets posted by the agency.

State troopers got help from the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife to rescue the yearling.

Once the rescuers were able to get the deer off of the ice, it ran off into the woods and is expected to make a full recovery.
