Traffic: Charity Fire Truck Pull To Close Troutdale Roads

The annual TIP Muscle Hustle Fire Truck Pull for charity will require road closures in downtown Troutdale on June 23.

TROUTDALE, OR — Registration is closed and the teams are set for the TIP Muscle Hustle Fire Truck Pull charity event in downtown Troutdale next weekend. Planning ahead, Multnomah County Transportation officials want commuters through the area to be prepared for road closures.

According to county spokesman Mike Pullen, a three-block section of the Historic Columbia River Highway will be closed during the weekend event benefiting the Trauma Intervention Program, a Portland-based nonprofit made up by community volunteers who offer specialized emotional and practical support for people experiencing the immediate moments after a traumatic event.

The TIP Muscle Hustle Truck Pull will take place between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. June 23 and require the closure of the Historic Columbia River Highway between Southeast Harlow and Southeast Buxton avenues. Southeast Dora Street, between Southeast Second Street and the highway, will also be closed during the event.

Commuters will be asked to detour around the event via Southeast Second Street, which is one block south of — and running parallel to — the highway.
