Trick-Or-Treat Safely In Downtown Gresham This Halloween
From 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m., businesses will hand out candy along North Main Avenue, between NW 1st and NE 4th streets.

GRESHAM, OR — In coordination with the city and downtown business owners, the Historic Downtown Gresham Business Association will host its annual Safe Trick-or-Treat event on Halloween in downtown Gresham.
From 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31, more than 2,000 kids are expected to visit roughly one dozen downtown businesses as owners and managers hand out candy to all the little ghouls and goblins. Held annually for more than 10 years, the downtown Trick-or-Treat event gives Gresham's children a safe place to celebrate Halloween festivities with their family and friends, according to HDGBA spokeswoman Sue Myers.
North Main Avenue will be blocked from Northwest First Street to Northeast Fourth Street during the event, Myers told Patch on Tuesday. And, weather permitting, there could be live music and dancing as well as other kid-friendly attractions to enjoy.

With Halloween in the metro region a typically rainy affair, Myers said she didn't want to reveal too much in case the weather forced certain attractions to be cancelled.
