MILWAUKIE, OR — Clackamas County Sheriff's officials on Sunday released the identities of the two people involved in the homicide investigation out of Oak Grove that began Saturday evening.

According to sheriff's officials, Milwaukie resident Miguel Angel Avila Espinal, 17, was taken into custody Sunday afternoon and charged with murder and unlawful use of a weapon. As a minor, Espinal is not eligible for the death penalty but could face a life sentence if convicted.

Espinal is accused of murdering 39-year-old Gresham resident Terry Richard McKee, a man who neighbors reportedly told KOIN News "was just a great guy," "a go-to guy," and someone who'd "give you the shirt off his back," but who also had a long history of alcohol abuse and several DUII convictions — his most recent from an incident in December 2013.
