Albertsons in Lake Oswego that became Haggen will Once Again be Albertsons

Bankruptcy court approves the move.

If you live in Lake Oswego and are wondering what will happen to the store at 16199 Boones Ferry Road - your wait is over.

The store, which became a Haggen when Albertsons merged with Safeway last year, has been in limbo since Haggen entered bankruptcy court.

On Tuesday, the court approved a plan that will return the store to Albertsons and rename it Albertsons.

The decision was first reported by the Oregonian.

It is part of larger plan that will allow Haggen to sell 29 stores to Albertsons for more than $100 million.

Most of the stores in the deal are in Washington though there is one in Tigard, two in Bend, two in Eugene, and one in Grants Pass that will also once again become Albertsons.

The Haggen store in Oregon City will be closed completely.
