Bee Die-Off at Lake Oswego High School Baffles
Lake Oswego Review reports a colony of honey bees died at the high school last week. The cause of the die-off is a mystery.

A colony of honey bees died last week at Lake Oswego High School despite efforts to save it.
The Lake Oswego Review reports that the district had called the Oregon Society of Beekeepers for assistance moving the colony but by the time someone had arrived it was too late.
The paper quotes a district official saying no herbicide or any chemicals had been sprayed on the hive. At the same time, a beekeeper tells the paper that since the bees can fly up to a mile, it's possible they encountered chemicals elsewhere.
