Clackamas County and the Clackamas Workforce Partnership (CWP) are teaming up to produce a Listening Session on June 21 aimed at residents currently on Oregon Unemployment Insurance (UI) but are at risk of losing benefits.
Find out what's happening in Lake Oswegofor free with the latest updates from Patch.
This month, residents receiving UI benefits will begin receiving communications from the state about how to maintain benefits with new requirements that involve looking for work or participating in workforce programs.
Clackamas County and CWP are part of a network of community organizations, social service providers, and public agencies working together to meet the training, education, and employment needs of individuals and employers. To best serve residents, a panel at this event, Returning to Work in Clackamas County, are asking for residents to share the following:
Find out what's happening in Lake Oswegofor free with the latest updates from Patch.
- What is preventing you from returning to work or re-entering the workforce?Â
- What resources or supports would help you return to work? (e.g., reliable childcare; public transit)Â
- How can local employers and business owners better assist and incentivize people to return to work? (e.g., flexible or set scheduling; childcare supports; remote work options)Â
This listening session-style event will provide attendees the opportunity to share (with time limitations dependent on turnout). Questions may also be sent ahead of time to info@clackamasworkforce.org. Emails should be kept to 1 minute in length when read.
Opportunities for interpretation services in Spanish will be available.
