Construction Site Burglar Arrested In Lake Oswego: Police
Rosendo Sanchez-Martinez was captured while hiding under a bus near a construction site he allegedly burgled with another unidentified man.

LAKE OSWEGO, OR — Police responding to a burglary alarm at a construction site in Lake Oswego early Thursday captured one of the two suspected burglars who were seen running from the area, Lake Oswego police officials said. The other suspected burglar remains at large.
Rosendo Sánchez-Martinez, 24, was taken to Clackamas County Jail following his arrest. He is charged with burglary, theft, criminal trespass while in possession of a firearm, felon in possession of a firearm, and possession of both heroin and methamphetamine. His bail is set at $40,000.
Prompted by a burglary alarm, officers were dispatched just before 2 a.m. Nov. 1 to 3900 Kruse Way Place, the construction site for The Springs Living at Lake Oswego, a senior housing complex slated to open soon. As they arrived, officers reportedly saw Sanchez-Martinez and an unidentified accomplice escape through a gap cut open in the chain link surrounding the property.

The officers were able to track down and arrest Sanchez-Martinez, who was found hiding under a bus parked nearby, while the other suspect got away — despite extra police units and two K9s searching for him.
After arresting Sanchez-Martinez, officers found a handgun that was hidden under one the bus' tires and a stolen Jeep that was parked next to the same bus. Additionally, officers found drugs and stolen wire, officials said.
