LAKE OSWEGO, OR — The presence of an apparent phishing scam targeting Lake Oswego School District parents and families was announced Thursday by Lake Oswego schools spokeswoman Christine Moses.

While the emails appear to be sent from an official LOSD email account, Moses warns recipients against opening the emails' Google Doc link. Doing so will allow the scammers to steal the recipients' passwords, she said.

"This email is NOT from the District," Moses said in an email alert released July 5. "It looks very convincing but it is not from the District."
