Family Travel: AAA Sees Rising Gas Prices But Not as Bad as in Recent Years
The bad news is that gas prices are rising, the good news by Memorial Day Weekend, things won't be that bad.

Memorial Day Weekend may be just under two months away but it's never too early to start planning.
And the AAA says, if you want to pick a destination to drive to, it won't break the bank like in recent years.
Their new estimate says gas prices "could rise by another 15-25 cents per gallon in many parts of the country" by the holiday weekend.

Despite that, "seasonal prices would still be less expensive than in recent year."
The report came as the organization found that the national average had risen beyond the $2/gallon mark for the first time this year.

Here in Oregon, the prices have risen 18 cents in the past month, to $2.18/gallon from $1.93/gallon.
Prices are still well below the $2.72 they were a year ago at this time.
Nationwide, quarterly gas prices are the cheapest they have been in 12 years, the organization said.
