H&H Auto Body Shop Catches Fire In Tigard
The fire was tended to by five public safety agencies, which worked together to extinguish the blaze about an hour after it started Thursday
TIGARD, OR — It took Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue crews about one hour to gain control of a two-alarm fire at the H&H Auto & Transmission Center in Tigard Thursday morning.
First reported around 10:50 a.m. Aug. 31, TVF&R first responders raised the initial one-alarm fire to two-alarm about half an hour after firefighting efforts began at 11225 S.W. Greenburg Rd.

Because the fire was in a functioning auto body shop, and because the shop was full of combustible materials as well as a couple vehicles, firefighting was difficult, TVF&R officials said.

The owner of the shop and one employee were in the building when the fire began, officials said, but both were able to escape uninjured.
All told, five agencies participated in firefighting and traffic control efforts along Southwest Greenburg Road. Assisting TVF&R were Portland Fire & Rescue, the Lake Oswego Fire Department, the Tigard Police Department, and the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office.
