Heroes Turn Out to Help Oregon Make-A-Wish Foundation
Tens of thousands of dollars is raised to help the organization grant wishes to children facing life-threatening conditions.
More than 1,500 people turned out over the weekend's Walk for Wishes fundraising walk for Make-A-Wish Oregon.
In all they raised more than $121,000. The final tally won't be known until Monday.
In 1983, Oregon became the fifth state in the country to establish a Make-A-Wish chapter.

Since that time, they have granted more than 3300 wishes to children
They never turn away a child. The only requirements are that the child be between two-and-a-half years old and younger than 18. They must not have received a wish from another chapter.

The child must also be facing a life-threatening condition.
