Lake Oswego Beats Canada, Heads To Semifinals
Lake Oswego's girls will play USA East in the Little League Softball World Series semifinals Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Alpenrose Stadium.

LAKE OSWEGO, OR — After beating Canada on Monday at Portland's Alpenrose Stadium, Lake Oswego's little league girls softball team will head to the 2018 Little League Softball World Series semifinals. Lake Oswego, now sitting with a 3-2 record, is set to play USA East at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Representing Oregon District 4, Lake Oswego eked its win over Canada by a score of 4-3 — scoring 2 runs in the top of the fifth to overcome the three runs Canada scored in the bottom of the first inning.
Lake Oswego has won two consecutive games heading into the match against USA East Tuesday night. With a record of 4-1, USA East — represented by the Tunkhannock, Pennsylvania, little league team — is coming off a Monday night win as well, having beat the Asia-Pacific team from Bacolod City, Philippines, 2-1.

Visitors to Alpenrose Stadium get free entry to watch the games, but if you can't make out to the field on Tuesday night Lake Oswego's match will broadcast live on ESPN2 and the WatchESPN app.
