Lake Oswego Chapter of National League of Young Men Meets
Group, which received its charter last year, has its first grade level meetings for the classes of 2018 and 2019.

The goal for the scores of teens who gathered last weekend?
To start work on better preparing themselves for life's challenges.
These are the members of the newly formed Lake Oswego Chapter of the National League of Young Men, an organization started in 2008.

Each of the young men will be required to compete 10 philanthropic hours. The group works with organizations as The Oregon Food Bank, Friends of Trees, the Autism Society, and Northwest Children's Outreach.
The first order of business, though, was to learn about how to conduct business using Robert's Rules of Order.

They then put what they learned to the test by making a trail mix using the rules to figure out the ingredients.
They also heard from an ex-police officer who talked about safe driving habits and learned about changing a tire and jumpstarting a car with a dead battery.
The organization is for boys in grades 9-12.
The Lake Oswego chapter is their first one in Oregon.
