Lake Oswego Library Closes for Remodeling

The entire remodel project is scheduled to continue through May 2017, but initial closures are in effect this week.

The Lake Oswego Public Library is shuttered this week to make way for renovations that will be ongoing through springtime.

Work began Monday and will continue through Sunday, Jan. 22. The library will reopen on Monday, Jan. 23.

"The entire remodel project is scheduled to continue through May 2017," said an update on the library's website. "We plan to keep closures to an absolute minimum."

Here's what else patrons need to know:

  • All Lake Oswego patron holds will be automatically suspended beginning Jan. 8. "Suspended" status keeps your position in the hold queue. Holds will be automatically "unsuspended" when the library re-opens the week of January 23.
  • If you do not wish to wait until the week of January 23, you may choose to manually unsuspend your hold and select a different pickup library. To do this, log into your library account and in the HOLDS tab, select "Edit Pickup Location(s)". Then, choose the "Cancel Holds Suspension(s)" option. Library staff members are also happy to assist.
