Lake Oswego Man Drowns by Canby Ferry
The body of Jason Allen Kosola was recovered 15 hours after he fell off a dock.

The body of 46-year-old Jason Allen Kosola of Lake Oswego was recovered Sunday morning - about 15 hours after he fell off a dock into the Willamette River.
Kosola was not wearing a life vest at the time.
The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office says that they were called just before 8:00 Saturday night.

Deputies were told that Kosola had fallen off the dock just east of the Canby Ferry and was apparently unable to get back to the surface.
Members of the the sheriff's Marine Unit and their Drive Rescue Unit spent about 90 minutes battling diminishing daylight in an effort to find him.

They finally had to call the off the search for the evening.
They were back in the water early Sunday morning and found Kosola's body around 11:00.
The Clackamas County Medical Examiner's Office will determine the exact cause off death,
Deputies urge the public to use extreme caution around waterways to use personal flotation devices while in the water.
