Lake Oswego School District Wants Input For Superintendent Search

The district has posted a survey for people to fill out listing the qualities that people want to see in a new superintendent.

LAKE OSWEGO, OR – If you are a parent with a student in the district, officials there have a question for you. They want to know what qualities you are looking for in a new superintendent?

The district has hired a search firm to help them replace Michael Musick, who, in July, was named interim superintendent for this sschool year. He took over for Heather Beck, who resigned to become deputy head of school for the Canadian International School in Singapore.

The search firm, Ray and Associates, suggested that they start with a community survey and find out what people want in a superintendent, get some guidance to build profile of the candidates that the district should consider. The survey will take less than five minutes to finish, according to the district.

The district says that Ray and Associates will be in town on October 4, 5, and 6 to meet with different groups including parents and staff. There will also be a community forum open to all.
